I'm month two into my 6-month project to build 6 SaaS applications in 6 months. I started work on the 2nd SaaS a month ago, and it's Blether.chat - a GDPR Compliant Live Chat that integrates with Slack. How did I come up with the idea for Blether? I hate cookie consent banners so I don't want to have them on my site, but at the same time, I wanted to be able to chat with potential customers for Parthenon. Therefore I needed one that would allow me to do that without adding a cookie banner. The answer is Blether.

View All TagsBootstrapper Diary: Start Six SaaS in Six Months
I recently decided to start a Six Saas in Six Months project to showcase the possibilities with Parthenon while possibly creating extra revenue streams.
The idea is I build six different SaaS applications within a six-month time period. This will provide me with some solutions to problems I already have, SaaS platforms that can be bundled with Parthenon to provide extra value, and a chance to QA Parthenon fully with applications. If any of the SaaS gets traction and generates €500 revenue, then I'll stop and focus on that SaaS to build up.
25.05.2020 - Release 1.2.3
Another week, another release! The release train keeps choo-choo'ing. This week it's a rather small release. But it does bring a rather important feature. The ability to limit features on plans. Previously, a plan could only have limits. This meant there was some awkwardness when you wanted to limit a feature that doesn't have limits/countable things to a plan. Today, that awkwardness is over.
Weekly progress in building SaaS boilerplate
So this has been a rather busy week. I took part in the half-day build and built a Micro-SaaS in 12-hours, wrote a solid blog post.
Marketing work:
- Wrote Deptrac blog post
- Wrote a blog post comparing Parthenon with SaaS Pegasus
- Pushed my eBook to get newsletter subscribers
- Sent an newsletter emails
- Tweaked the landing, adding CTAs and making things clear
Development Work:
- Released an updates of Parthenon
- Added a new landing page to the Parthenon Skeleton application
- Added PDF to the QA applications
- Change the checkout process so that it's clear what the options are
Other business:
I've found a new payment provider to add to Parthenon. I'll start development work on a PHP Sdk for Transaction.cloud the new payment provider. This will allow Parthenon users to use Transaction.cloud and let them deal with the nasty and scary VAT.
Blog success and more
This is my second scheduled weekly blog post about building in public. While during the week, I felt like I wasn't getting much done by the time it came to this blog post, I think there is some solid achievements. Two significant developments code-wise, and some substantial traffic gained.
27.04.2020 - Buid in Public Update
So this is my first scheduled build in public blog post. My aim here is to explain what I did in the last week and what I plan on doing for the next week.
Build A MVP: SpyGather.com - How I built it
I'm planning on starting a monthly blog series where I build an MVP to solve a specific problem I'm having and want a tool to solve and share how I built it. My thinking is, one, it'll be useful for people to see how to build an MVP, two, it'll be useful for people to see what Parthenon can build, and three, it's just kind of a cool, unique idea I think would be fun. If you like the idea of monthly MVP builds detailed out, sign up for the newsletter.
